Accelerator Plug or Booster Plug?

Post by boomer61 »

Anyone have any wise words about the accelerator plug vs the booster plug.
I am considering trying the accelerator plug as it use a range of sensors and mapping to improve low power setting performance.
I understand the the booster plug mostly use the lamba sensor to richen the mixture by moving the outside air temperature set point.

It will make it run richer cause it tricks the engine into thinking its ambient temp is cold. It will use more fuel for the same RPM. It will probably run crisper off the bottom.

The booster plug is supposed to take effect only at low rpm, as mentioned in the last post it provides a lower temp reading resulting in a slightly richer mix. I think the website provides an explanation of how this works and at what point it cuts out.
For the 1200 it does smooth out off idle response noticeably and in my experience it had no material affect on fuel consumption presumably because it only applies at low rpm and the resulting improvement influences riding style, the result no material change to fuel consumption.
