After hearing of Cookies fuel problems on his F650/800 recently, I thought this thread on ADV might be useful to other 'F' er's. I changed mine at 40,000kms and was very easy, just be careful when immersing the whole assembly back into the tank.

Re: F Series Fuel Filters
Too easy
With the aid of your club's tools and expert shared knowledge, this job turned from a $700 pump replacement to simply a $35 fuel filter replacement...
I reckon that counts as a success!

Re: F Series Fuel Filters
Replaced the filter last Saturday at Tuning day, it was a easy task - completed in about 15 minutes, now the filter can be replaced in around 10 minutes.
Thank you to Reklaw for the link and the Tech team for their assistance and advice over preceding weeks - Much appreciated.
I parked the 650 outside for a few hours yesterday in the sun, then put my riding gear on and went for a 40km ride in 40 degrees, without any issues, took it to breakfast this morning and returned in 35 degrees, without any issues.
We can call this a success
I am in the process off making a tool to remove the ring on the fuel pump, as the 650 is under the seat, the standard tool does not fit inside the void, once complete it will be added to the club tool chest.
