Dear All,

Had the opportunity to assist another rider this am with a flat tyre.

When using the SLIME Air Compressor it tended to keep cutting out when load put on it to pump up the tyre. In end connected compressor with clips to the battery and all worked well.

When I checked the compressor out at home, all leads , connectors etc all ok.

However whilst checking Munich Spares for compressors etc ( I was thinking I might dump the SLIME) they mention that when load (amperage draw increases, the BMW CanBus will stop the circuit from working because of the load. Thus,if you can't get your compressor to work, consider connecting same direct to the battery. If you know this issue well and good, otherwise this may assist others when you have a flat and the damn pump is not working well.

Regards

Wes

Because of this issue I have wired my Hella plug directly to the battery with a 10 amp fuse.
This way it's live all the time and charging of phones and stuff is not a issue.

Sorry meant 10 amp

You might need more than a 5 amp fuse if using some tyre pumps Used one on an F-Series it was ok to start but dropped out when loaded up when tyre pressure up over 20 Psi
I think the CanBus has 6A limit.
