Elsie shafted by a newby!!

At long last, nearly 2 weeks overdue from Victoria Elsie;s near new shaft arrived by courier late yesterday arvo!!
Took Elsie to Steve Nurzo's place this morning where was waiting with a big grin on his face wearing a pair of surgical gloves as he guided my bike onto his operating table:shock:
A short time later Steve eased the old used and abused shaft from Elsie's rear end which gave her cause to rest her tail on the deck with a huge sigh of relief as she leaked lubricant on Steve's spotless workshop floor
That surgical, mechanical Specialist Steve prodded and poked at the poor girls rear end only to find the final drive seal was leaking.
He made an urgent phone call to Seal Specialist in Welshpool and while I sat back and relaxed with a cuppa with his wife, Steve rocketed off on his adventure with lights flashing and exhaust bellowing to pick up this vital seal in order to prevent any further embarrassing bouts of incontinence from long suffering Elsie!!
He returned soon after with a triumphant look on his face waving the $6.00 seal in the air before he surgically removed the damaged appendage and skillfully inserted the new one with gentle taps from a 7 lb sledge hammer!!
This workshop whizz completely removed Elsie's rear end and freshly lubricated her bearings and seals before gently reattaching her to the main frame with a series of bolt fasteners.
More gentle persuation was called for as he slowly and methodically inserted the new drive shaft which took some time as the new shaft splines proved to be virginally tight but with the assistance of some liberally applied lubricant it eventually glided into place where we quickly sealed it in with more metal fasteners
While the mechanical magician waved his wand and restored Elsie back to her former glory I replaced the old NGK run of the mill Spark plugs with new NGK Premium Laser Iridium Sparks which when ignited bought a warm glow to Elsie's eyes!!
It was a newly restored girl that I rode home for lunch but I have now got a fresh issue with her!!
I am totally unable to wipe the smile off her face???
Thank You so much Steve for all the wonderful restorative work you have so tirelessly performed on my bike. You are a credit to all that is good with this fantastic motorcycle club and you are a real asset to have as a mate and a member!!
