WHAT DID YOU SEE

Post by old betsy »

Lately I've been surprised at the number of old bikes I've seen on the road.
So the idea of this thread is to post up what you saw
So you might have to do some research then post the picture and anything else

So I'll kick it off.

Honda Goldwing it's either a 1978 or 1979

I think you should have to post a picture of the actual bike you saw, not one from a professional shoot.
It would make it a bit more challenging but more interesting imo

Mike, it's a terrific idea. Please pass on my congrats to Odette for thinking of it.

I agree with Jono, actual picture would bring a richness to this

Wish I'd taken a photo but saw a great 1938 BSA at the Bullcreek Aviation museum today. One of the volunteers was telling me they fire it up every couple of weeks and ride it around the carpark. That museum is looking even better than last time I visited about 6 years ago. Hats of to the volunteers who staff it and do the renovations they are doing an amazing job. Well worth a visit, the exhibits are excellent my favourites being a Supermarine Mk22 Spitfire, a Lancaster bomber and a Vietnam vintage Huey.

Spotted Mike Richardson's Tracer MKIII at Bunnings and briefly spoke to Mike.

The Bike was also at the Sports Aircraft Builders Open Day.

It is based on a Honda 500. Details are on http://www.mikerichardson.net.au/tracer3.shtml

I have a poor photo on my I-Phone that I have now uploaded.

Snaga I have seen this bike as well.
Your mate has a great job. With this bike parked in the workshop, well that's where I saw it.
