Six roaming riders left after breakfast at Catalanos to investigate the wheatbelt with little thought to the anniversary of Julius Caesar's problem with sharp cutlery.
Paul, Dinga, Brian/5, Karl, David and Bozo flew through the gentle bends of the road to York. Five continued on through GreenHills to Doodenanning until corrugated gravel split the group. Dinga left near Cunderdin with four riders then meeting up near Kellerberrin. A meal at the Ettamogah Pub at Cunderdin was followed by a return ride through Quellington and Spencers Brook.
Great ride, good to go on some new roads (even accidentally). The conditions were OK apart from when the wind was a cross wind or there was tree litter on the corners.
Thanks to Paul for persevering and getting to Keller-Berrin, Brian/5 for GPS guidance, Dinga for staying cool whilst running out of fuel.
One rider made it to see Lefty at Oakover.
Not the best planned ride...will think a bit more before having a stab at a destination on the day Julius Caesar failed to keep a good look out on what was happening behind him.
Still good to get out and have a decent length ride.
