Giving money to a bank

Post by spacey1 »

How's this...

Giving money to a bank

Me, entering the bank...

Me: Hello... Wow, it's changed a lot in here! :P

Banker: Yes, we are setting up for 24hr banking :P

Me: I'd like to deposit / give you money.

Banker: Yes sir, let me show you the ATM :P

Banker: Do you have your card? :P

Me: There's no card on this club account.

Banker: Which bank do you normally bank with? :P

Me: Not this bank, another...

Banker: Do you have your card for that bank...

Me: No, I've forgotten my wallet :|

Me: The account number for the club account is on this cheque book. :|

Banker: Sorry, you will need a deposit card to deposit cash and coins here :P

Me: What? I just want to deposit this small amount of cash

Banker: I can give you a two page authorisation form so that you can apply for a deposit card. :P

Me: What? I just want to deposit this small amount of cash

Banker: Sorry sir, we cannot accept your cash. :P

Me: ??? The sign says "Can bank". It sounds a lot like "Can't bank to me"... :x

Me, leaving bank with cash still in my hand???

Nev

They modified my local branch to a self service set up where there is minimal privacy. I am sure they consulted customers about the change and designed it to meet customer preferences particularly in this suburb where hearing loss is only matched by Joe Hockey pension loss.

It took me five minutes to work out that the cheques were orientation sensitive when being deposited.....being a silly old bastard.

We all need retraining.

Windows 8 ...there is another story. It was certainly not designed by some one who understood that you can not teach old dogs new tricks.
