Wheeling dealing Airhead Jack

Post by goodguy »

I was at Cat's two weeks ago & spruked up Jack's beautiful blue R100 to JP, found out last Sunday that JP had purchased it. Great to see it remain within the club, & going to a good home.
Last Sunday I brought from Jack for $3000 an 81 R100, will give it a new clutch & rear seal, send the heads over to Ray Peake for hardening, the cosmetics will be a work in progress (british racing green to black?)
Oh...yesterday a bike mounted coppa put my numskull helmet out of commission, it was fun for 10 years.

Guy

Good news about the bikes staying in the club.

Shame about the helmet but it was the most non compliant head protection I have ever seen despite its obvious character.

Did you know that it is illegal to ride standing up or to use your feet to point when riding?

245. Motor cycle rider to be properly seated
(1) The rider of a motor cycle that is moving, or the rider of a motor cycle that is stationary but not parked, shall —
(a) sit astride the rider’s seat facing forwards; and
(b) ride with at least one hand on the handlebars; and
(c) if the motor cycle is moving — keep both feet on the footrests designed for use by the rider of the motor cycle, while the motor cycle is on a road.
