Hire bike Melbourne
I'm looking to hire a bike and some riding gear for a few days in Melbourne tomorrow. I've rented with BMW Southbank in the past and was wondering if there were any other options people could recommend if I draw a blank there? Thanks Kots

Re: Hire bike Melbourne
I got advice from JP re: a bike from Garners in Peel street. All BMWs were out as the Superbikes were on at Phillip Is. I was told over the phone BMW Southbank no longer hires bikes so it seemed the logical choice! It was all straight forward and in some ways really good! It's an "Old School" place which provides straight up service and advice. The best example was the business cards stuck to the desk for things like towing, tyres and pizza.
The ride was great! It was our first with my two special girls, with our daughter Imogen riding her own bike, and Alex on the back of our hire bike. We went to Indented head from East Brunswick, to see some more of our family. It was a great ride. No one wants to see photos of me having all this fun so hence no link to any. Ask me if you do!
Happy to recommend Garners for a hire bike in Melbourne CBD.
Thanks JP for the heads up.

Re: Hire bike Melbourne
Hi Kots
Glad that you got great service from Garners - we have used them twice, once when I celebrated my 50th and decided to give bikes another go after a 25 year break and then again about three years ago when myself and a couple of mates took our wives on a 5 day trip down the Great Ocean Road and surrounds.
Regards
JP
