You can come... but only if you've got a Trangia (for Ben's mood lighting)

Seriously,
You're a club member, so absolutely, join in if you wish.
You can ride bitumen all the way to Beacon if you want and then do the 35kms of good farm gravel roads to the rock. There are plenty of alternative farm gravel road choices to get there or going home.
Yes - it will be an overnight camp at the rock.

I'm not sure if people are doing their own route to get there or not but if you want to join in with others, post up some details of your preferred departure time/s & route on this thread.

"his (road) bike is always loaded to the max with enough musical instruments for a small orchestra."

Fair go Ben, One guitar and 3 Harmonicas is hardly enough for an orchesta!

Enjoy the ride, sadly I have had work stuff come up so wont be joining you all. Say Hi to the flies - I suspect that you will get to know all the flies on a first name basis -don't forget the aeroguard!

Did I hear correctly? Has Nigel busted his shoulder and some ribs?

Talk about tough! A couple of yelps over the following 450kms after the fall was all that I heard from Nigel. Because he didn't say that much, I seriously thought he was suffering general soreness but not any breaks. I'm thinking the club may need an annual Tough Rider award. Nigel must have it in the bag!

Ouch! Yep tough guy award to Nigel.
Thats a real bugger for Nigel as he was just getting over a work related shoulder injury (self employed, no compo ) so I hope it wasn't a broken shoulder.
All the best Nigel hope you have a speedy recovery -let us know how you are getting on.
