DFS heartland

Post by wightman »

The VMCCWA tour is entering its last week in the U.K.. We are currently at Rooks Bridge, Somerset, DFS's heartland. DFS, can you pick us up and show us Cheddar gorge, mate? Bowe is with us, also Mal Cox on a R90S. The other 7 bikes are pommy bikes. My number is 07468129047. Bowe's R69S and my R50 are running like swiss watches

Hi John

Hope the bikes aren't getting too rusty.

If you get to Cheddar, once you've done the run through the gorge make sure you get to visit Gough's Cave. Awesome! The Somerset cream teas can be a bit special too.

Try to get to the Haynes (of the manuals fame) Motor Museum in Sparkford, failing which, if you're heading east later in the trip, try and get to the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu (pronounced Bewley) near Brockenhurst. Well worth a full day.

Regards to you and Bowe, stay safe.
Some people are like Slinkys, you can't help smiling when you push them downstairs.

Yes, a good tip for Beaulieu. Some of our group went there. Most of us spent half a day at Sammy Miller's motorcycle museum at New Milton. Cheddar gorge was spectacular and the sun even shone for most of the day. DFS is on his way to see us (on a Dakar)

Yes, it was spectacular and the neighbouring medieval village of Axbridge did not disappoint. It was good to see dFS. He looks fit and well
