Shipping Bikes to and from NZ

Post by bowewilson@gmail.com »

Has anyone had any experience in shipping bikes to and from NZ in terms of protocols, paperwork etc, is it the same as shipping to other parts of the world or is it not so onerous?

I looked at the options a couple of years ago when planning a tour of the south island.
The cost was similar to hiring a bike in NZ, which I did, through Paradise Motorcycle Tours.

Thanks gents, sounds like it is no different to shipping bikes anywhere else, having to deal with quarrantine, carnets etc.
If it happens Cookie it will be an outfit which will also presents some issues!
