Bike Transport

Post by Richard Hughes »

Recently I sold my GS to guy in Victoria, he had it transported by Bike Nut, $300 from Perth to Melbourne, fully insured and a max of 10 days.
Blitzed everyone else in price, the bike arived in 7 days with no problems.
Worth a Quote next time your loking at transporting a bike.

Update:

Quote from Bike Nut to transport a bike from Melb to Perth is currently $875 and was told by them this is their normal standard rate. However, they still might be the cheapest - I got 2 other quotes around $1100  .

Apparently the low price last year was only for eastbound cartage over a 3-week period only (they struck a rare backloading arrangement with an OD).

Does anybody know of something cheaper I can use (over the next 2 weeks or so)?????

Ach!

For that type of money, it's fuel and a plane flight back for a rider....

Kind of expensive at $1100 bikkies.

Have a talk to Club member Harry Boessen.
He works for Grace Brothers removalists, and may be able to help.
