Intro- ChrisCoote

Post by Chriscoote »

G'day,

I've submitted my membership and am just waiting on approval from the club. I am a former member of the QLD branch, and previous owner of 2 GS', an 1150 and 1200. I now live in Ellenbrook.

I'm now on an R1200RT, a twin-cam 2012 SE, which has a considerable amount of upgrading and electronics on board.

I do a lot of traffic marshalling and road work for cycling races (Commissaire) and will be travelling around the country doing so later in the year and next year onwards.

I've fitted my bike with the following:

Wilbers WESA suspension,
Navigator V (already had the 4-button baseplate),
Sena SM10 Bluetooth music adapter (the OEM Bluetooth is rubbish),
SR10 and UNIDEN 950 UHF radio,
High-gain UHF antenna,
Side stand footplate adapter,
Z-technic screen,
Cree LED Spotlights, on R&G brackets,
LED flashing lights front (white) and back (Amber, for the work),

So it's a bit of a weapon. You can't miss it, top case is drowned in stickers also.

Feel free to PM me if you live out this way or are keen on a ride someday.

Cheers!

Chris Coote.

Hi Chris

A warm welcome. You are close enough to come into town and enjoy some riding and meeting with us. Over the years, some of our members participated as a road marshall, for ride for cancer (push bikes), involving a sleep over in Pinjarra, or wherever the event is held. We may be looking at a team captain to restart this, as we have missed a year (I think)

Cheers

Hi Chris............If you find yourself out Northam way give us a yell (PM me)...........Coffee or a Beer I'm usually up for either(sometimes both simultaneously)....when home.
I'm not a weirdo but I did have a 1974 (247 powered) eggbeater from age 25. I did have a R1100RT so like you on the GS I have surged around a few roundabouts.
I like the idea of the music adaptor on the RT. I have quite a lot of Spandau Ballet on my Hard Drive which you can help yourself to. I find there's nothing like some
New Wave Romantic Pop Music to escape the tedium and rigours of modern life.
My RT is a 2007 ex NSW Police..........the RS is away being transformed into the bike it should have always been ( a Bikini fared, Italian carbed Frankenstein of a bike with scant regard to tradition)
Welcome to you.
