Taking the twins to Dwellingup

Post by Bozo »

A small but energetic crowd populated Catalano's today. Good to see Brian 5 back from his eastern states postal service and the Swampster back from staying in Danish castles. Murray and Mrs P dropped in from Esperance with a bike on a trailer, Jack regaled us with stories of dodgy backpacker vehicles and VWs, Anthony and Trish were just back from a wildflower tour and BJ breezed in and out.

The police were in attendance due to an incident the night before...several club members seemed to avoid any eye contact.

Drew and Bozo were the only takers for a Sunday sojourn so we headed to Dwellingup only to run into Swampy at Leach Highway. Gardiner Road at the back of Araluen was still signed as closed as we picked our way through the detritus of the red tailed cockatoos near Canning Dam. There were two police cars at the Jarrahdale turnoff talking busily on the radio as we pressed on to Serpentine Dam.

More red tailed cockatoos were feeding on the gumtrees on Kingsbury Drive creating some interesting corners. Lots of motorbikes on the road between North Dandalup and Dwellingup and we ran into Patrick in his lycra cycling gear at the Blue Wren Café.

Returning via Hopelands Road we passed another police car and a further one in Gosnells.

Great to get the new purchase out on the road and learn all about brake maintenance from Drew.

Hope to see Swampy and Harri (Danish for Harry) Honda out on a ride soon.

Thanks Bozo, It's good to be back amongst familier faces and be able to speak English again after my 5 week sojourn to Danmark.

Unfortunately an illness I picked up in Copenhagen has kept me absent from Cat's for the last 3 weeks.( No, No visits to red light districts)

Now looking forward to to letting Harri off the leash on a Club run when we return to some decent weather.

Congratulations on your near new RT Bozo, It looks immaculate apart from some rain drops on it. I bet the previous owner, a club member is crying all the way to the bank.

Unfortunately the boss won't permit me to have a second toy otherwise I would have snapped up your offer on your old Police bike. I'm sure someone will grab it up soon.

Yes Drew is a full bottle on changing brake pads on a GS and is now able pull up at traffic lights again

See you all next week

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
