Riverside breakfast and club discussion Sunday 31st

Post by Intrepid Ken »

As discussed at the meeting on Sunday 31st January the morning breakfast will be held by the Swan River, not the usual Albany Highway location . The club event shelter will be erected and a BBQ breakfast and coffee supply will be made available for a small price. The intention of the event is for us all to gather, have a good breakfast and plan the year going forward.

Hopefully, we may be able to find a location where we can have a bit of fun with some witches hats - let's see which of those GS guys can do a tight turn

Electric BBQ already there...so is shelter. Car park may be able to be used for any 'events' if no other cars are there. Otherwise, there are dozens of other nice locations available. Another option may be the park near the casino. At least they will be central for everyone.

Hello to all,
Other possible sites - check out Sandy Beach Reserve, Bassendean - electric BBQ's, toilets, lawn and plenty of parking.
or Kings Meadow Oval, Guildford - wood BBQ's and limited facilities.

Hi all.
I am also new to the club, and Beemers, having just bought Geoff Edwards old R1150GS. I would like( parental responsibilities permitting) to get to the breakfast and meet a few more of you, but there is no time posted on this thread.
Hope to see you there.

A few of us went to have a look for a potential location for the special Riverside Sunday breakfast on 31 January. After going to a number of locations it seemed the best and easiest location to get to with BBQ's, shelters, toilets, parking and easy access was South Perth's Sir James Mitchell Park. Note the below links.

Does anyone have a decent kettle and gas cooker to boil water?
We'll bring coffee bags, tea and milk also bacon, eggs, buns etc, and naturally baked beans  And the club event shelter.
Those coming along need to bring:
- a seat (if they need one)
- a few $$$ to pay for breakfast
- and your ideas for future events, ideas, etc.

As I can't make Sunday's get together can anyone that does go please discuss the following Sundays breakfast on the river on 31st. I'm aware that some members don't have access to the internet ....... so please tell them.

I'll drop off a sign at Catalano's on the morning of the 31's in case anyone turns up.

I've also been trying to attach a draft 12 month event calendar which could be discussed, improved and finalised on the morning however $%^& I can't work it out. If anyone knows how to do this let me know, other wise I'll bring along copies on the morning

Great stuff Noel, now we can boil water.

I've also been told that my earlier map link isn't that good. Below are the directions from our usual Sunday morning meeting place. It's the park at the end of Hurlingham Road

Driving directions to Hurlingham Road
3.8 km – about 7 mins

Albany Hwy

1. Head north on Albany Hwy toward Salford St 1.5 km
2. Slight left to stay on Albany Hwy 0.3 km
3. Continue onto Canning Hwy 0.6 km
4. Sharp right at Ellam St 34 m
5. Turn left at Mill Point Rd 0.6 km
6. Turn right at Hurlingham Rd 0.7 km

See you there
