Good to see a young and handsome looking Kimberley arrive with his two gorgeous girls in tow, Kim appeared to have had his Ailerons trimmed and was looking quite dapper however Bailey managed to easily outshine him with her magnificent display of outstanding saddlery harness
As the Wing Commander Bozo was absent I was subsequently promoted from Tail Gunner to Flight Leader in one foul swoop
BMWMCCWA Comittee please note my higher duties allowance invoice is in the mail
German Paul who had recently fallen off his Exercise Bike which broke and Fokkered his right wrist was now out of plaster and keen to exercise a rather Limp Wrist
Our departure was delayed however when Flight Control Officer Bo informed the group that he was expecting a low level fly pass of a Messerschmitt piloted by our own Pilot Officer J. Wightman.
Paul got so excited by this news that he very nearly soiled himself and the Cat's ground crew are to be commended for their rapid response with sand buckets to soak up any fuel leakage
We waited patiently for some time hoping in anticipation to witness a possible Barrel Roll as P/O Wightman conducted his fly pass
However we waited in vain as Ground Control Officer Bo intercepted a coded message stating that the craft in question was experiencing ignition problems and was delayed TBA.
My crew which included P/O's Stoy, Peter, Brahm and son Alex in Fighter Support with Iron Cross recipient Gruppenfuhrer Paul on wing decided that we had better activate our Flapperons and get a Moverons before it was Luncheron and took off vectoring North on the designated Flight Path to Pearce Air Base before winging off along the Chittering Valley with our destination Bindoon Bakehouse Flight Centre for refueling.
A navigational error
We arrived at said destination without further incident where we refueled and restocked before my Fighter Escort of Brahm and Son decided to fly directly West to their home base in the Sand Dunes North of the Swan River!!
Stoy, Peter, Paul and Ma (oops!!) me headed back to the Chittering valley for a fast un - interupted low level scoot to Toodyay keeping pace with the Indian Pacific as it entered the town. A strafing run on the train was aborted due to possible collateral damage to the people attending a massive sellers market in town.
In Toodyay Paul departed in some haste to attend Ascot so as obtain a glimpse of his beloved Messerschmitt
The remaining flight headed as group back to Mundaring where the respective pilots parted company to return home in order resume marital duties
Thanks guys for managing to follow and remain with me today and in particular Peter who was my Tail End Charlie for not letting anyone escape!!
