Post Ides Ride

Post by Bozo »

With the Ides of September falling on Thursday, senators of the City of Perth were happy to be out in public.

Goldie the auriferous counted twenty three (XXIII) motorcycles in the forum and counting those who came on other chariots there were over 30 partaking of catalanic prandium.

BJ was no slave to keeping his BMW in as built condition was a noisy arrival to the gladiatorial group. Good to see Caesar Griceness back from a two cornered contest and Prof Dist on his GS.

Goldie the auriferous was looking good having had a redundant filter removed by a Gallic surgeon.

Great selection of bikes brought out to celebrate the triumph of the sun gods over Thor.

Ted, Steve, Wightman, Beemer Dave, Peter, Swampy and Bozo went to see what colours the spring gods had painted the countryside. The Pickering Brook/Karagullen area was splashed with pink as fruit trees were covered in blossom. Canning Dam was yellow for the wattle with patches of coral creeper. Araluen was yellow from closed road signs. Nettelton Road was red from the emerging bottlebrush and masses of blue cyclists (cycling men as a bloom is normally fuschia). Apart from flashes of colour the group was treated to blue flashing lights that gave some members a flashback. A quick stop at Serpentine to discuss the merits of getting a learners permit at age 85 before inspecting the progress of the new Kingsbury Drive Tunnel. A young echidna on the Del Park Road gave us a puggled look before arriving to a heaving Dwellingup with an alignment of steam events, horse events and markets meant that it was busier than a Colosseum elimination final day.

Some of the Group at Serpentine (senator Swampy has the floor) thanks to Wightman for the pic

An enjoyable traverse through Lane Poole on Nanga Brook Road got us to the Pinjarra Bakery at Waroona. Wightman was trying to alliterate us to Widgiemooltha and Westonia with the offer of cheap housing. The group split up with Ted Peter and Bozo heading to Ted's old stamping and pattermaking ground of Yarloop. Cutting across to the Forrest Highway on Johnston road the trio split up at the Pines.

A brilliant day to be out with lots of other motorcycles. The country side was a rich range of colours. Thanks to Swampy for running as tail end charlie.

I'd(e) noticed time Marches on. Although at this juncture earlier in the year, it was the time to settle debts, apposite time to mind your back!

Prof Dist

"I will PM you" has a different meaning now with failed assassins going to a higher place or court. SCOMO has become OMO...Opportunistic MOrrison.

Dutton pressed the button and became mutton (not saleable in Australia) and a pawn took a Bishop who after checking she had no mates could only move on a diagonal to the back bench.

My post was intended to allude to another backstabbing at the Ides of March, albeit political, this one was terminal.

The seque is a chance to report it’s alleged due to the recent cold weather several Federal politicians were seen with their hands in their own pockets. Fake news again I guess.
