A Ride to Remember!!

Post by Swampy »

There were 7 Magnicent riders who met at the Dome in Mundaring this morning on a Magnificent day for a ride with magnificent weather as a bonus!!

Wes, Brian/5, John W with a magnificent pillion Leonnie, Ross C, Ross H , New member Trevor and Swampy.....What a magnificent sight we made as we left the Dome graciously led by John W through the magnificent back blocks of the Hills eventually popping out on the magnificent West Talbot road to York where we stopped for a 5 minute break to stretch the legs.

John made mention of the magnificent Mt. Brown before leading off for Northam and because my ears were full of earplugs and I misheard John thought I was following them up Mt. Brown where I looked out over the magnificent scenery only to find no one else there?

Wes doubled back from the main group to find me and after making unsavoury comment's about lame brain Tail End Charlie's led me back to chase up the magnificent 5 who had bolted up the track.

A lovely ride through the magnificent back road to Northam found us Brian/5 looking for us at the start of the magnificent scenic road to Toodyay.

We arrived at the very busy CC Cafe but no main body of riders anywhere in sight to find a message on my phone from John saying he was in Northam waiting for us!!

No answer to my phone call to him so Wes, Brian and I got stuck into some magnificent food of which we had just finished eating when John and Ross H arrived after Ross C and Trevor parted company to head home to Perth.

A pleasant break was had with a fair bit of banter around the table before we headed for home.

John with his magnificent pillion Leonni headed straight up Toodyay road whilst the rest of us deviated through to Clackline and on to Mundaring where the group split up.

I took the Mundaring Weir road through to Brookton Hwy and then down onto Albany Highway where amazingly John and Leonnie caught up with me at the traffic lights in Armadale.!!

Home by 1400hrs after a magnificent ride with magnificent company so thank you all for making it a magnificent day!!

PS. Commisserations to Peter who decided that watching "BAMBI" with the family was preferable to joining the magnificent 7 and making it the magnificent 8!!
"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

A well hatched ride, Swampy, what a great bunch of lads. My R90S has about 5HP extra vooma, after Vince put in a Boyer Bransden electronic ignition. I'll try and attach a couple of snaps on Fb
