Re: Ride Thursday 14th
Steve sorry to have missed you, I decided on a later start as the forecast was for a cooler day. No need to get up early for no reason.
JC turning up at Dome on a GS so settled for a Valentines ride to Toodyay. The route out was via the usual backroads through Stoneville, Mount Helena, Chidlow Wooroloo and Wundowie. Then it was north up Fernie Rd to Salt Valley Road and then down Toodyay road.
As it was Valentine’s day turned down the scenic drive to Toodyay via Lovers Lane and River Roads. Then it was via Julimar to the Cola Café. Joining up with Harry the Honda’s owner for refreshments.
Steve decided on heading further east while I joined Swampy for home via Clackline and Mundaring Weir Roads. To finish off I came down the zig-zag which had a few cars parked up.
This route to Toodyay had about 5km of good gravel sections on Fernie Road and on Lover’s Lane.
