A subdued group at Catalanos this morning with the fit and energetic members being at Greenhills for the annual dinner.
The younger members of the group declined to go on a deja vu ride with excuses like "my airhead needs oil" and "I need to look at houses in the hills".
Suggestions for a boring ride were canvassed. "It must include a run past the airport" and "Mundaring Weir Road is mandatory" with the popular boring destination being Toodyay.
The nominated route was followed by Wes, Bill + Trish, Ted, Drew and Bozo. Travelling via Chidlow we took Liberton Road and Mayo Road to get to Toodyay Road. Beemer Dave had suggested a recently sealed run on Fernie Road, Salt Plain Road and Hoddy Well to get to Clackline-Toodyay Road. This was a brilliant ride.
Beemer Dave, thanks for teaching old dogs new tricks.
A run past the extensive roadworks into Toodyay and meat pies from all sorts of animals were consumed.
The deja vu nature of Sunday rides necessitated us returning on the same route to Hoddy Well Road but turning right to confirm that the direct link to Toodyay Road was also sealed.
A quick commute down Toodyay Road interrupted by sorting out an errant grub screw and the ride was over.
Thanks to Wes for running as tail end Charlie and to Beemer Dave for the great intel.

It’s always great to read your interesting ride reports Bozo - thank you. Your boring déjà vu ride with old men and a not so old gal sounds bloody alright to me. Sorry I missed it but Mei and I were motoring on four wheels back from the highly successful Greenhills dinner.

Glad you guys and the lovely young lass with old Bill managed to enjoy yourselves without anyone going to sleep and veering off the road!!
See you next week!!
