Yes it’s back to the traditional meeting point. Leaving Shell Ascot 8:15 to meet at Mundaring Dome for a 9:15 departure to them there hills. Forecast 26 degrees C - perfect.

Didn’t get to 26 degrees C but 23.5 was good enough and I didn’t hear any complaints from Steve, Eddy, Al, Bill or Ross. The six of us left Mundaring Dome, passing through Chidlow, Wooroloo and Wundowie hitting Inkpen and Yarra to get onto Talbot West Rd to clean the plugs, heads and exhaust systems with a few revs.
Steve and Bill saw a snake on Talbot Rd with the rest of us oblivious to the sighting, seeing only Shingleback lizards. We were quickly into York and onto the York to Northam Rd, bearing right onto Goldfields, Mannavale and Quellington Rds to get us in the vicinity of Meckering. The original plan of lunch at Colton’s Cafe in Meckering was thwarted as it is closed on Thursdays.
We headed east onto the GEH, turning off at Grass Valley to cruise onto Jennapullin Cres and Northam - Pithara Rd to get to Northam. Katrine Rd was the route to our lunch stop at the Toodyay Bakery.
A perfect day to sit on the upstairs balcony, chat about all things biking and consume a variety of pies and drinks. I think the general consensus of opinion was the Baker’s Hill pies are better.
There was some discussion about the Auto Classic Motorrad Demo Day and BBQ on this Saturday October 26, with most attending.
After lunch Julimar, River, Folewood, Sandplain, Salt Valley and Fernie Rds had us onto Toodyay Rd and off to our homes.
Thanks guys for a great day and also Steve who I think shouldered the TEC duties.
