Big red put in a sparkling appearance and His Royal Griceness could not resist parking his gravel rashed RnineT right next to Swampy's new Bike. I must have misheard but Swampy was an apology for the ride because he needed to get a screw loosened so he could spend leisure time behind bars.
GT was waxing lyrical about an Aldi sleeping bag and Rob was farkling a Virago.
Eleven riders headed on a circuitous route to Bindoon adding over 100 kilometres to the recommended Google Maps journey. Hermann, Ted, Wes, JC, Bill + Trish, Andrew, Ian, Lisa, John, Peter and Bozo took the normal run up the scarp to Pickering Brook deviating onto Repatriation Road and Patterson Road before encountering a peleton of slow moving carbon fibre at Walnut Road and Alderside Road. Luckily they were only riding four abreast so the group was able to trickle past and have a clear run on Mundaring Road.
Passing through Mundaring on Stoneville Road and traversing Riley Road, Keane Street West and Elliot Road we reached Chidlow as the first participants for the Beyond Blue assembly of blue vehicles. Escaping the event by taking Liberton Road, Needham Road and Mayo Road the group reassembled at Berry Road after being split by traffic on Toodyay Road. A clear run along Clenton Road and O'Brien Road had the group experience the G Forces of the Lancewood Road "woops". Emerging at Connemara Drive we ran down Campersic Road to be halted by the Indian Pacific on Carmargue Drive. This is the first time this has happened in a decade of Sunday Rides.

A run up Great Northern Highway to Bullsbrook had us enjoying the twisties in the Chittering Valley. The circuit past the Emu Farm only produced sightings of two of the occupants.
Before long we were ensconced at the Bindoon Bakehaus where cake was as popular as pastry products.
A northern loop up Crest Hill Road and Moolabeenie Road before a commute to Blue Springs Road and a return run through the Chittering Valley and along Muchea East Road to Wandena Road. The ride ended at Bullsbrook just as it started to warm up.
Thanks to Peter for running Tail End Charlie duties and reporting as riders spalled off the group. Great to have new faces along for the run. I hope Swampy has now got his screw loosened.
