Thursday January 13 Ride MOJOS MUNDARING
With a forecast of 19 to 28 degrees it looks like ideal riding weather. Standard leaving Gloria Jeans Ascot at 7:45 to try and go in the most indirect route to Mojos Mundaring for a 9 ish departure. DDD.

Re: Thursday January 13 Ride MOJOS MUNDARING
A small group left Gloria Jeans Ascot for a devious route to Mojos. Winding through South Guildford, Woodbridge and up between the Midland Rail Workshops. An interesting development leaving some of old historic structures. Thus, leaving it with character rather than just another new structure such as the hospital. Then under Roe & Great Easter Hwys to Buninyong Road and up past the Blackboy Hill Commemorative Site. This site was the birthplace of the Western Australian A.I.F (Australian Imperial Force) and was the largest Western Australian military training camp during the First World War, with over 32,000 troops training there from 1914 to 1918. Then up the highway to turn down Margaret St into Hovea, At Parkerville we transmuted to become locals to take another interesting road, before heading via Stoneville to Mundaring
From Mojos, Peter led a group of six out via the rat run to Wundowie and down to Inkpen, Talbot, York, Quellington Rd to Meckering. After a brief break carried on up to Dowerin. Then back through Goomalling to Toodyay Cola Café. For most it was a great ride however the airhead lost it air and had to be retired. Our usual coffee stop in Dowerin has closed down and the backup in Goomalling was closed, hopefully not permanently. After lunch the group split in three to make their own way home. Our group did a slight diversion back down Inkpen to do a pickup before returning home via the Lakes.
Thanks all for another great day
