Leschenaultia Exploration

Post by Bozo »

Interesting machinery at Catalano's this morning with Alan bringing a newly acquired 1970's Honda CBX in immaculate condition and Rod Rocket Peter bringing his new BMW S1000 XR. Just up the road Vic turned up with a Build Your Dream electric car that was being tested as to how many people in full riding gear could fit into it.

Seven riders, Rod Rocket Peter (a tad noisy), Multimedia Mark (with a Roof on his head), Max (on his off-road ready K bike), Peter Bee (ready to take the bus), GS Mark, Nannup Nick and Bozo ran through Helena Valley and Glen Forrest to deviate onto some new roads near Parkerville. We dropped in at Lake Leschenaultia, where the option of going for a swim was not popular but where pink kangaroo paws were spotted.

We got caught up in a bike event but without too much drama on Liberton Road. A cool run down Breeze Road before picking up Berry, Reserve and Reen to get to the Gidgegannup Bakery. Multimedia Mark was extolling the virtues of having a Roof (helmet) over your head, Peter Brock got a run, mufflers were discussed to point of exhaustion, jokes were gesticulated and pies consumed. The group split up to head home.
Multimedia Mark was very keen on the BMW S1000 XR

Thanks to the group for tackling some unfamiliar roads and to Nannup Nick for running as last in succession.

A great Sunday morning ride and for me, afternoon as well. Did 350km all up. Thanks gentlemen. I was a bit disappointed i couldn't take home the S1000XR. I'll work on that.
