6 riders at Gloria Jeans and 12 at Dome Byford. The decision to have lunch at the IGA /Bakery in Brunswick Junction was accepted by all so the keen dozen set off following the railway through Byford, Mundijong, Serpentine, to pop out onto the SWH at Keysbrook to glide into North Dandalup. We took the Del Park, Huntly Mine, North Spur, Alcoa Rds diversion to pass through Pinjarra and head to Coolup for a toilet break. For something different for chose the Coolup Rd Sth to take us to Valli Rd and the SWH to get to Waroona.
Coronation, Somers, Bristol, Johnston, Eckersley, Government and River Rds soon had us at the Caltex Servo in Harvey to top up tanks. We hit the SWH again till Mornington, Martin, Sandlewood Rds ( Mick’s Route) provided a pleasant diversion to head to Brunswick Junction at 12:05pm. The IGA/Bakery was soon busy as 12 hungry riders arrived and selected drinks and food from a very large and delicious selection. With the temperature around 22 degrees and only a light breeze it was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the tucker.
The way home was a little different taking Partridge, Campbell, Mitchell, Bernie’s and Hope Rds to get us onto Government and the reverse run to Pinjarra then the Patterson, Corio, Hopeland, Kargotich Rds to get us onto the busy Tonkin for the run home.
All up 420km, around 22 degrees and no probs. Thanks to all for safe thoughtful riding and special thanks to Pete 2 Volts for exemplary TEC duties.
