I am interested to know what happens to dead BMW bikes. Some sit in sheds, but many damaged bikes surely end up at the wreckers, especially the insurance jobs?
Anyone know where there are wreck BMW bikes, for example, if I am after parts for my 1150GS, where would I look?
Just interested.........

Same for me too... for anything (parts or accessories) that once lived on a R1200GS.
Also a big tick to beemerboneyard mentioned by Bry. On Tues 12 Aug I ordered brake rotor, front & rear pads, filters x4, filter removal tool and 2 DVD's (G-rated BMW maintenance ones); voila, in my hot little hands 9:00am Tuesday 19 August - 5 working days! Great prices more than made up for the freight charge (which was quite reasonable anyway - $US50 I think)

I have asked the same question many times and it has never been answered, but you can try this site for specific parts. I have had some luck with this site for various non BMW items. http://www.findapart.com.au/index.php
