Helmetreplacement
Good morning all.
After the "Off", its now time to think about replacing my helmet. Had a Shark Evoline flip front which did a great job, but will never be used again.I was very happy with it, but as I am now about to spend a bucket load of money, all thoughts and input from the forum would be gratefully received.

Most problems can be solved with a suitable application of throttle!

Dave,
I'm very happy with my RJAY flip up. Comes with a drop down tint internal sun visor too. Good price too for something you don't keep for too long

Re: Helmetreplacement
I had a serious accident in June and was critically injured. My recollection of the accident is the impact and skidding along the road on my face. I was pretty busted up but the only major part of my body not injured was my head. The helmet was very worn down on the chin and forehead where I skidded along the road.
I had a Shark Evoline 2 helmet and because of that I purchased a new one exactly same at the Bike Show last week. I am not recommending Shark above other brands as I haven't "tested" other brands. One thing I would say is get a good quality full faced helmet and make sure it fits snuqggly. The flip top enabled the paramedics to remove it fairly easily as they were very rightly concerned about necks injuries.

Re: Helmetreplacement
Hi, Tricia from Better Motorcycle Repairs, Welshpool here.... I noticed your comments and thought that you should know that we can give a special price on SHOEI Helmets. If you would like some advice, please give me a call on 08 9472 0000. This applies to all that may be interested. We don't carry stock, but most sizes, colours and styles can be accommodated at less than retail price!

Re: Helmetreplacement
Never tested them for impacts, but for comfort and quiteness I'd never go past a Shoei. Now on my fourth over around ten years (still can't throw them out!), two Syncrotechs (terrific flip front) and now a Hornet

Re: Helmetreplacement
If you want check out some more info on helmets check the link below. More than 30 motorcycle helmets were belted, smashed and comfort-tested in the RTA's high-tech CrashLab in Western Sydney. You can jump to "Test Results" to search for your helmet.
Not all helmets were tested.
