We probably will be ahead of the group riding down if we leave at 6am from Scarborough and you guys are leaving at 7.30. We will be staying at Doris's sisters farm at Denmark till Mon but would like to come up for a catch-up. So how long will people be staying at Peacefull bay so we can plan a visit for a beer or 2.

Re: Australia Day Holiday Long Weekend Trip
Hi Bill, We will be at PB for Thursday and Friday night, maybe some on Saturday. I am planning a trip into Denmark on Friday, for lunch.
Might see you there, or at the campsite (Biker's Pit)

Re: Australia Day Holiday Long Weekend Trip
Well, just made it home from the Peaceful Bay Trip.
Five trusty souls ventured South to get away from the forecasted summer heat of Perth.
Lead by Lefty, we left Cats around 7:30 as planned were myself and Brian/5 as sweeper. We joined up with John & Leone for a brief stop at the servo, then headed South. By the time we reached Nannup it was tipping 40.5 degrees.
We arrived mid to late afternoon and set up camp and it wasn't until we finished, I realised exactly what I'd done
My tent was smack in the middle between Lefty & Brian/5
Two shady characters known to the local constabulary & famous for their "nocturnal noises"
Ah well, too late now, I'll just have to prepare myself some medicinal pre- sleeping draughts (Charlton Mid actually), so tents up, off we go for "essential supplies" & ice. That evening saw us sat around the camp fire being serenaded by Lefty and his metallic instrument (guitar) as we were mesmerized by the campfire smoke, Lefty's versions of Bob Dylan and others and the Carlton Mids.
Friday morning breakfast and were and off exploring. Firstly to the Dinosaur/Parrot sanctuary. thinking the entry fee rather high, we did a quick u turn back to the highway, but not before someone pointed out a rather large ghostly grey huntsman spider hurrying it's way towards us over the gravel carpark surface. (more of that later)......
Lunch in Denmark was the plan, so we cruised into town in a small procession and pulled in a nearby park. A quick photo shoot with the river as a backdrop and a short look at some cruisers with trailers in tow saw us about to re-mount our trusty steeds, when suddenly Brian/5 appeared to have a "helmet malfunction" and was seen to remove said helmet "at the speed of light"........remember the ghostly grey huntsman spider
Somehow it or a close friend had found it's way into Brian's helmet and as soon as Brian had his head in, the spider INSIDE the helmet went from left to right (can you imagine Brian's eyeballs !!
so off came the helmet. The spider emerged wondering what all the fuss was about? WUSSUP? the spider asked, as he was helped to the nearest flora.
Lunch was enjoyed at the Thirsty Camel consisting of Belly Pork, Risotto, Caesar Salad and Lefty positively melted as he sweated his way through a bloody hot Thai curry
(Sorry Bri, couldn't remember what you had).
Back to camp via another "re-plen" of more liquid supplies & ice, for another evening by the campfire and more of Lefty's renditions. As the night drew on and sitting there half pissed and in a smoke induced stupor, whilst "helping" Lefy with some of the lyrics to some Paul Kelly tracks, out of the darkness, a hand touched my left shoulder and with a face no more than a foot away from my left cheek said "Hello"..... "F@*K ME!" I cried as I almost fell off my seat due to my heart hitting the back of my throat and going into a virtual cardiac arrest!! Whilst my "friends" were laughing loudly, and my hand clutching at my somewhat hyperventilating chest cavity, the young lady
tried to explain that she was camped nearby and had come to investigate as to whom was playing the "music"?
"Tracey" joined us and drank some beer whilst enjoying the entertainment and "ambiance" that was present due to the smoke, music and beer
sat on a log next to me whilst my blood pressure dropped from triple figures to nearly back to "virtually bugger all" as my heart attempted to keep my brain alive, assisted by consumption of more beer.
Friday saw us venture "off road" and "on beach". Bikes stripped of all unnecessary farkles & items; and compressor, shovel etc strapped on "just in case". A waterside photo shoot ensued with our intrepid (sorry Ken) team "posing in front of water". (If photos weren't such a pain in the rear tyre to post, I would include some here). Needles to say some got bogged, some didn't (don't forget... what happened on the trip, stays on the trips me amigo's
)
Saturday meant an early start for some keen to get to a rally at Bussleton, whilst I enjoyed a few extra hours in the cot and a lazy day walking, taking photos and exploring the nearby surrounds. Sunday morning and a "cool" 20 degrees and I was up, packed and heading home to the heat of Perth.
Thanks to Lefty for organising the trip, John & Leone and Brian/5 for their company, humor and fellowship. Bugger....work tomorrow......

Dave the best way of placing photos on the forum is to download your photos onto your computer and then transfer the ones you want to place on the forum onto a photo storage site and use the web link for forum users to download this web page to view your photos. Have a look at picasa.google.com/ this site is part of the google thing and when you download their free software this enables you to achieve unlimited photos for those members hungery for photos of your various dropped bike poses that we have grown to admire.
