Website Vulnerability

While the spam that we are getting on this forum is harmless, it does show that the site is open to attack.
Can the hackers access other information through this site, or is it limited to annoying posts.
Maybe its time for the site to have an upgrade in security? (please bear in mind that I am a total IT numpty, and struggle to switch a PC on.)

Hi! We have such questions are solved by a moderator. If someone writes spam, it blocked or removed. Ordinary participants of the forum just ask not to write spam.
