Cold start this morning, but not cold enough to put 4 club members heading up to Mt Dale, Ken in the lead
and 2 initiates following
Followed by one sweeper, I mean tail end charlie
Returning member Tim was taking his newly acquired R1200GS for a spin, it was a bit ironic that he was riding the only BMW in the company of 3 DR's
Phil was next on his pristine (read newly acquired) black DR, but showing signs of hypothermia as he braved the morning chill with T-Shirt and body armor.
I was a bit concerned when we reached the gravel at Pickering Brook and found that Tim was not sure how to turn his ABS off
But as it turned out he did an excellent job on the big GS following Ken through all manner of roads, tracks and bush (yes no track at all) he showed no signs of coming to grief and in fact kept up a cracking pace. The only person to ahem "step away from the vehicle!" was in fact Intrepid Ken himself. But only so he could stand at a particularly tricky section of the climb and provide track signal advice to the following riders ......he say's
Phil appeared to have a great time but must have been a bit embarrassed by the company as he decided to pick up some camouflage along the way and rode with it for some distance, pretending to be a wind swept branch!
Phils cunning plan

ingenously attached

Almost impossoble to see me right?
Look it even wipes out my tracks, well almost!

But the others were not fooled

A great mornings ride, no woosie latte stops here!
Home via the power lines, if there had been anything loose on the bike it would have been left far behind the whoops looked like they had been deliberately carved out.
Back home by 12 fantastic still half a day to keep the family happy
Thanks Ken, Tim and Phil great riding and good company.
Cheers
