Ok the flowers should be out and its time to go up for look and a night under the stars. It's a good road for both dirt and road bikes. Anyone interested and a camp. With the camp cook-off the following weekend it may be a good chance to trial your cook-off meal.
Let me know if you are interested.

Re: Bimbijy Station this weekend
Did the wilflowers this W/E Ken. Nice display going up the coast. Swarms of bees a problem thou. Everything dripping with honey. Bike needs a major clean. It was also quite hot , about 35. We were about to go for a swim on a isolated beach up near Greenhead Doris just put her foot in the water and a shark fin appeared just out a bit in front of us. No swim zone
fix that tooth

Re: Bimbijy Station this weekend
I'm keen to shoot up to Bimbijy Station for the weekend...
The phone number isn't answering at the moment, so don't know what's happening.
But worst case scenario, just camp in the bush...
There is an awful lot of it

Re: Bimbijy Station this weekend
Jamie's called to say that he too is keen - it would be good to see the lazy bastard get out on his bike again.
The below is copied from last year's posting on the trip.
"have a look on Map numbers 80/81 in the roads & tracks Western Australia. (Bimbijy is on map 81, A-5)
two approach options from the south, Having been before, I'd say the Bimbijy Rd is the best option for road bikes, (5 kms west of Beacon) the first 30 kms is tarmac, then a further (approx) 60 on a 'good' gravel road..
the 2nd option north along Mouroubra Rd is more dirt orientated from scotsman intersection . At Mouroubra Station turn right towards Bimbijy, but could be a wee bit tricky for some especially if it's been wet.
Fuel.
everyone 'Should' be OK if you fill up in Beacon. Next closest (I think) would be Koorda or Bencubbin, So a 10/11 litre tank on a standard DR 650 might not be enough, especially if you plan to ride north to Paynes Find Sunday morning... but a 5 litre 'jerry' should see you right."
I've also called to check and no one is booked in at the ...... err
prestigious camp site. So we will have the place to ourselves. THIS TIME I WONT RIDE ON THE AIRSTRIP!!!!
Would be great to see some others join us. A road dike can do this ride.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
