Riders on the Storm

Post by Bozo »

Forecasts of severe weather did not daunt Swampy, Bill, Brian, Irwin, Ken and Toni who took a sedate ride through the Chittering Valley to Bindoon with Bozo. New member Irwin was on "Olympia" sister behemoth to Paul's "Titanic". Bill had a battered beak courtesy of a Rottnest reef but that did not stop him scrolling down the menu or was that downing a scroll on the menu. The trip back from Bindoon commenced in a downpour with Ken stating that only wimps wear wet weather gear in summer.

Great to get out of the city and smell rain on dry grass even though I now realise it was only because of double demerit points that you wanted me to lead the ride.

Yes it was rather wet on the way back but by the time we hit Muchea the temp gauge was showing 37* and wet clothing soon dried out. And yes one does see more at legal road speeds. Sorry to hear that Ken is on a diet. Watch that shit on a stick Ken.

Thanks everyone, That was an excellent ride this morning with some great company to boot.

Toni's bike kept wanting to fall asleep keeping to Bozo's pace but at least Bill retained what's left of his demerit points

Credit to Ken and Toni as their New Years Diet regime never waivered as they shared a salad roll as they watched the lads getting stuck into hot pies and pasties in Bindoon.

BTW Ken I had a LARGE plate of Taco's when I got home mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :P

It's amazing how much rain water a sheepskin seat cover can soak up and then disperse that same volume of water thru your jeans

Was still soggy when I got home even though the weather cleared up as I "Steamed" home in the humidity, Maybe that's why I'm called "Swampy" :?: :?:

Hope everyone arrived home safely and it was great to have New Club Member Ervin join us on the ride.

Cheers and Thanks Again Guys.

Swampy

Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Home all OK. Kevlar jeans make a good sponge - still didn't dry even though I was sitting on the rear seat most of the way home to try and dry out, at least they weren't dripping wet.

thanks for ride & company

Brian

Thanks for the 650 GS advice on today's ride on the charging point..it is now plugged in and charging.

It does not take long to forget what you once knew.

Well what can I say Bozo.
I suppose you could say the power point is somewhat out of the way, therfore it must follow "out of sight"

Glad to hear you guys had a good ride, must admit I managed to keep my pillion dry for the whole of our ride 8)

It seems if you don't use it you lose it.

It would be very useful if the charging point was roughly the same place on all BMW bikes.
