There are probably a few members of the club that would agree. It has to be in the top few roads that i would avoid again. Maybe i'm getting soft?

Lara and the crew stayed onsite with us last night. They are currently travelling from Halls Creek to Yuendumu producing a documentary on the conditions of the Tanami Road and also speaking with stakeholders along the way.

A tidbit of information: Lara has attempted to break the world land speed record on a motorcycle 3 times at Lake Gairdner.

To provide an indication of the WA section, 12 months ago it was taking the triple roadtrains with diesel 13-14hrs to travel from Halls Creek to the WA-NT Border - approx 320k.

So how long on a HP2 with silky air shock for comfort Noel?

I was on the Tanami a couple of years ago. It was badly corrugated. Never again I thought.
I was on the Gt Central last month. It's nearly a dead heat with the Tanami for corrugations atm. Wished I was on the HP2. But GCR is probably all graded now... road conditions can change like the weather.

A motorcycle is the only form of transport I haven't travelled the Tanami on/in - but given a ride with a silky air shock should be able to glide along the top of the corrugations nicely :P

I think you're getting soft - probably give motorcyclists a bad name by being soft
