Pulled in to the BP station cnr South West Hwy and Dickens Place Armadale on my return too suburbia, A Service Station I have used on a regular basis for the last 2 years to refuel my bike. May I point out that I have always been polite and greeted the attendent with a "good Afternoon or Good Morning" when paying my bill.
The pump did not activate and a female attendent came to the door and yelled at me to remove my helmet. I refused to do so and replaced the hose.
I then approached the lady attendent and the Manager and quite calmly pointed out that I had utilised their station on a regular station for the past 2 years without a problem before and was disapointed that I was being treated this way.
I was informed that I was still required to remove my helmet. I requested an explanation as to why after 2 years of taking my hard earned without a request to remove my helmet, Had their policy changed?
The answer was "We don't know who you are"??
I then asked if I was someone wearing a "Burka" and driving a car wanting to refuel my car would I have been asked to remove the "Burka" before being served?..................No Answer!!
I informed them very politely, .....................................Contrary to one club members opinion of me that I am a "rude" person that they had just lost themselves a faithful regular customer and I would not be utilising their services again.
My question to you guys is, Have any of you experienced this type of treatment in your travels or am I being too precious like some of our AFL players recently?
