Jennacubbine ride to dinner

Post by Cookie »

I am planning to meet at Caltex Midvale (corner Farrell road and Great Eastern Highway) at 2.30pm Saturday 20th July, ready to head off at 3pm towards Jennacubbine, winding up through the hills and secondary roads to arrive around 5pm in time to roll out a mattress and freshen up for dinner.

Sunday I need to be home by lunchtime, so will take another route after breakfast via secondary roads to York, Clackline, Gidgegannup and Brigadoon to get into Perth.

Anyone wishing to tag along give me a call or meet at Midvale.
Regards

Leony and I will be see you at the filling station. It will be a cool evening, so good idea to arrive before nightfall.

John's still in the "Emerald Isle" Whats the Craic John?

"Craic" (/ʔkræk/ krak), or "crack", is a term for news, gossip, fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation, particularly prominent in Ireland.[1][2][3] It is often used with the definite article – the craic.[1] The word has an unusual history; the English crack was borrowed into Irish as craic in the mid-20th century and the Irish spelling was then reborrowed into English.[1] Under either spelling, the term has great cultural currency and significance in Ireland.

We had a good run home, without a screen (thanx to Bully for bringing it home) Koos, after all your build-up bluster and bravado, you were conspicuous by your absence. Did you get waylaid by a footy game or something? We were able to watch the Ashes, cricket test game, right throughout the dinner.

huh?.....I thought I was a pretty modest guy. What did I say, do, where?, when?....please tell me so I can do it again.

Ashes?....how dreary was that.
