Sunday 8th Ride to York

Post by bmwlefty »

I am planning on riding to York on Sunday to deliver some bike parts to Arie DeKlerk.
If anyone wants to tag along after breakfast at Catalanos, they are welcome

Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Loverly weekend for wildflowers in the local Perth region. Onya Lefty for pushing us out of our comfort zone

That trailer sure attracts some attention

After testing the limits of my GPS knowledge, not really that difficult, Tom and I finally gave up trying the dirt route as all the usual dirt tracks through the Helena Valley water catchement area are closed. Not wishing to incur the wrath of lurking authorites, we bee-lined it to York, stopped for coffee and finally caught up with the others, Lefty and Co. A short discussion ensued, decided that getting lost was greatly under-rated, then proceeded to let the GPS get us lost. Well we were heading in the right direction, sort of...

So after halting for a wildflower break, picking up a cruiser, we all managed to make it home again. Apologies for the photo quality, they are from my phone

Perfect weather for a leisurely country amble. Well it must have been, as there was a plethora of other motorcyclist enjoying the day out too 8)

Nev

Tounge in cheek methinks.

Pattersons Curse (the purple) and Daisies (the yellow) are not WA Wildflowers.

Neither were amongst the 700 varieties on show at Ravensthorpe.
