First Summer Ride - Beverley Westdale

Post by Bozo »

Such a magnificent day to go for ride ...it should not be wasted.

Paul, Kim and Andrea, Dawn, Astro Engineer (Mark) and Bozo decided to head to Beverley.

Dawn had just completed writing a book and wanted to celebrate with a gentle ride through the bush.

We headed through Kalamunda to sample the Mundaring Weir twisties but were thwarted by a volvo and a ute that slowed on every corner.

Then via the Lakes to Yarra Road and West Talbot Road. The short section of gravel (100 metres) is getting rougher but Dawn with her Dunsborough experience with unsealed roads flew through.

The countryside was still in its wildflower stage with smokebush and pimela scattered through the undergrowth.

A pie from the Beverley Bakery then back along Westdale Road and the Brookton Highway.

Early Christmas Trees (the gold/yellow ones...not the green sort that Colin was putting up today) were spotted on Westdale Road.

Bozos Road Ratings (scale Platinum to Base Metal)
Mundaring Weir Road.. Gold
West Talbot Road...Silver
Westdale Road..Silver
Brookton Highway...Bronze

A very pleasant day with good company

Good ride report Bozo but the Aussie Christmas trees have been out for a few weeks now. :P

Just have to live in the right areas I guess 8)

Sorry I couldn't join you but was cleaning Bully's PD

Cheers Swampy
