As Judy is heading overseas for a couple of weeks in October, I plan to go for a motorbike ride!
I was heading to the High country, but with the bumper snow season here this year, we may not be able to get to where I want to go.
So, I have come up with a plan "B" for Bourke in the NSW outback
Leaving 0n Monday Oct 13th I will go across the heads on the ferry and stay at a friends beach house in Indented head. The following day I will head for Wodonga on the NSW border. This may take 1 or 2 days I depending if I get some WA participants who want to go on a more scenic route.
From Wodonga I will be joined by Andrew and Janet on their GS's and we will strike north for Bourke, taking a couple of days there and a couple days home. When we arrive back at Wodonga I will review the weather and if there is no snow will head across the top, stop at Omeo for a night, then may come home via Wilson's Prom for a night. At this stage the plan is very loose, but there will be a great variety of riding on both tar and good dirt. Accommodation at Indented head, Wodonga, Omeo and Phillip Island is taken care of and I plan to camp the rest, but may look at farm stays if that suits any would be participants.
Brian 5 is in………….any others interested. There is a possibility that Ken and Toni may join us.
So get out your diaries and let me know your thoughts.
