Digger on the loose again...

Post by Digger »

I'll be returning to Cairns on Friday 1 Aug to collect my GSA. From there, i will be going back across the Top End to Drysdale River to attend the OCR for the 9th Aug. After that, i may do some sight seeing around the Kimberley and Pilbara before joining the crowd at Gascoyne Junction on the 23rd.

SPOT link is here;

Cant guarantee a video after this trip....what could possibly be of interest on a 7,000 km ride???

Having done the Gibb River Road twice and the Kimberly many times,( Best part of our state) I would say there would be heaps of wonderful and interesting video opportunities Steve 8)

Have a great trip and see you at Gascoyne mate.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

I am riding a DKW 300cc from 1929 from Adelaide, arriving Darwin on 24 August. I might see you (you probably will battle to see me) John

End of the road...

Post by Digger »

This adventure is over...it terminates in Broome (again). Had a minor oil leak in the Final Drive since Darwin on the forward journey. Kept my eye on it at it has developed to the point where i have had to get BMW Assist involved. Bike to be shipped back next week and i fly out Saturday evening.
Damn!!!
Dont look for me at the Gascoyne Races.
Regards

Does that mean you are flying home to pick up the reserve adventure bike and riding up to gascoyne junction
Most problems can be solved with a suitable application of throttle!

I reckon you'd be right Ahab, the XT has been rested long enough

Anyway, what else does he have to do, except maybe the Gunbarrel with Bowe.

Gascoyne Junction is not on the cards....the BMW may arrive back in Perth on the Friday and i want to collect asap. Gunbarrel might be on the cards but i will know more in about a weeks time. I guess i better decide soon as the warmer weather is approaching. Dont wanna become a pile of bleached bones in the desert!!!!

The only thing that is bleaching your bones is a oil leak. Mind you at our age that might help :P
