Esperance to Caiguna is a distance of 474km going this way, this will be the best part of a 2 day ride depending on sand conditions. This will be a problem for some will a small fuel range. This was the way I was thinking about doing, so I'm a starter just got enough fuel I have. I have a fuel bladder if someone needs it ( 12litres ).
Most problems can be solved with a suitable application of throttle!

There will be about 7 or 8 of us leaving Friday .
Please let me know if you want to join us, or just show up at the Caltex Starmart by 5:15am at the latest, for a 5:oo am departure.
Minimal stops along the way, as we don't want to be riding, or setting up camp in the dusk/half dark.
(Fuel stops every couple of hours, from memory the longest haul is about 265k's)
Total trip aprox. 930 k's first day, about 550 k's second day

You guys doing the border run via Israelite, give the Condingup Tavern (about 80k's east of Esperance on the Fisheries rd) a ring, they probably still sell fuel, gives you another 80 odd k's of range. If you want to know more about the tracks out there give the APB (Agriculture Protection Board, part of AgWA) a call, they drive between Esperance and the border along the coast regularly, checking starling traps.
Have fun!!
