Have a look at these Davy - not sure what holds the bracket onto the post, but the circlip or whatever must have come wth the kit??

thanks for doing the homework.

I got into it when I got home around 1:30 in the afternoon. The Yellow Labrador from over the road came over wondering what I was doing (layed out under the DR) and over a cuppa tea, between us, we worked it out. ......Crap diagram and instructions that came with it though

Looks nice and sturdy though, not bad for $180. Thinking of adding a mod to ensure it stays fully up and stowed when not down.

Hey Davey. I've got one of these fitted (in fact there's 3 of us that have them fitted to our DR's). After 15000km it has stayed up OK the whole time. Same story with the other guys too. More than happy to show you if you want to drop around. Might save you doing an unnecessary mod. I live in Woodvale.
