Mad Dogs and Englishmen

Post by Bozo »

Wes was insistent that someone should go for a ride today.

Hot, hot ...I'll give you hot. When we were in Morawa they used to reverse the radiator fans to cool the road to stop the tar sticking to the tyres.

It was only a comfortable 30 degrees when Wes, Titanic Paul and Bozo pulled out of Catalanos.

Up to Lesmurdie and a pleasant trip along a shaded Canning Road through Araluen and past Canning Dam. Indian Ken would say that this was one of the best motorcycle roads in WA. Bozo differs and only gives it a silver rating (poor surfaces, low signed speed limits, debris on the road).

A quick blast along Albany Highway to another silver motorcycle road into Jarrahdale and on to Serpentine Dam. The temperature had climbed to 35 degrees and as we rehydrated three groups of motorcyclists turned up. We got mixed up with one of the groups on Nettleton Road (rated silver) before drifting home along Tonkin Highway.

Too hot to ride ...no. Getting back to see England's final first inning wickets tumble ...priceless.
