Slow Day on the Forum

Post by profoundly_disturbed »

G'day

Things have been a bit slow on the forum so I'll put up a few photos for your delectation.

The first is a club member proving that you can make your motorcycle wider to increase your on-road presence:

Image

The next, from the 2014 BMW GS Safari in Tassie. A club member discussing the finer points of Quantum Physics with Mad Jack McMad of the clan McMad, the winner of last year's "Mr. Madman".
I believe the stuff in the brown bottles aids language translation:

Image

Again GS Safari; FOR SALE - One careful owner, and one that didn't give a sh*t. Or, how many GS owners does it take to change a
headlight globe (Spacey):

Safari again, proving some riders are better than others:

And here's a couple of the "others" - SAND! Nooooooooo!:

I'll put some more up later.

Some people are like Slinkys, you can't help smiling when you push them downstairs.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Sure is, I'm not smart enough to use Photoshop.

A few more . . . .

This gives you an idea of the first day's terrain. Most of it was considerably more up and down though:

Again, some riders are better than others. Note the lack of barriers on The Devil's Elbow, and the angle of descent if it goes pear-shaped:

Yet another "other" caught out by the nasty sand:

Image

The Star of the Show - No, not the rider or the bike, the scenery:

Image

Thankfully, there wasn't a lot of this, but splashing in puddles can be fun, unless you find the 4x4 wheel ruts:

More tomorrow . . . .

I notice when viewing these photos on a phone or tablet they are clipped on the right hand side. Anyone tell me why? They appear fine on a PC.
