Thursday's Ride on a WEDNESDAY this week!!

Post by Swampy »

Hi all, The weather looks pretty crook for Thursday this week so WEDNESDAY is now the Thursday ride day to Toodyay!! (Get your heads around that one!!)

For those interested I will meet you at the street before Great Eastern Highway coming from Mundaring Weir at 0930hrs. or from Armadale at 0800hrs

Let me know if you are coming and I will keep an eye out for you

Plan for a lunch at the Coca Cola Cafe via a route to be decided on the morning of the ride.

All welcome

I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

What a beautiful, crisp, sparkling Autumn morning and it felt great to be alive in this wonderful country of ours!! 8)

six stalwarts embraced the bright low sunshine and met up at Mundaring. Noel, Brian/5, Ross, Peter and Wes (who swapped a day off) and me did a looping run through the back blocks of the Hills capably led by GPS Pete. Plenty of twists and turns and lovely picturesque country roads led us to Northam where we took the scenic back road to Toodyay. Well Done Pete, a great morning run enjoyed by all. 8)

Met up with Captain Ahab at the Coke Cafe again who's leg is improving daily and is nearly ready to return his Mobility Scooter back to normal farming duties and return to work

Another pleasant lunch was enjoyed by all with much discussion about Sat. Phones, Spot and Phone locating apps. Peter was enjoyng the beautiful fresh Australian country air and scenery before jetting off to Amsterdam for a 5 week European Tour.

About one and a half weeks before the "Terrible Twins" fly out to Mongolia so Noel has made arrangements to fit by new front Discs tomorrow morning.

Excellent Service, I ordered the discs from Italy late Friday arvo and they were in Singapore by Sunday. They spent a full day in Australian Customs before being cleared and delivered to my doorstep by lunchtime Tues. Pretty good when you consider how long it takes to get a letter from NSW???

A leisurely ride back along more picturesque country scenery via Julimar Road with a brief stop at Bullsbrook to relieve one too many coffee's before the
group split up to to head home.

Home 1430.

Thanks guys for your company on another brilliant Thursday's ride on a Wednesday!! 8)

Sounds like a nice ride Swampy, careful how you fit them by discs.

I Trust Noel with doing a great job as usual Alex but they are made in Italy so a little concerned about how they may sound when pressure is applied!!
