Patience on the Out Patients ride

Post by Bozo »

A highly technical morning today with tyre technology, nanoseconds, mho, micrograms, and the trifecta of degrees (Celsius, Kelvin and Fahrenheit) being discussed. By the way Centigrade is an old fashioned name for Celsius and at -40 degrees both Celsius and Fahrenheit are the same temperature. Good to 1200C the Prankster and spot Angela on a flying visit.

His Royal Griceness had stripped a ferrule in his rear end and will have to have it cut out. He was still on about his reversible Motoz rear tyre with it surgically chipped blocks.

Seven riders took advantage of the cooler weather for a Bindoon run. Vic, Emperor Eddy, Ted, Angela, Peter, Swampy and Bozo took a spin past the airport and the Swan Valley to get to the Chittering Valley. Ted's bike was playing up which caused a few delays and Angela was adjusting to an Australian Autumn. Swampy had recovered from his injection and Emperor Eddy had a shark bite of skin taken out of his arm covered with a massive bandage. The big flock of emus were at their normal spot at the junction of Keating Road and Chittering Valley Road and hardly interrupted their feeding as the stretched out group cruised by.

A brief stop at Bindoon Bakehaus induced Vic, Swampy, Ted and Angela to have a longer break whilst Emperor Eddy, Peter and Bozo went on to Crest Hill Road, Moolabeenie Road, Mogumber Road and Hay Flat Road. Lots of sweeping corners with hills and valleys and little traffic until we hit the high wide loads on Great Northern Highway. Stories about heart valves, injections and biopsies were punctuated with Peter's trip to Tasmania and the mob talking about roads in the South West. Vic headed off early and Swampy headed to his favourite town. The rest took Blue Plains Road, Muchea East Road and Wandena Road to get back on the Great Northern Highway to return home.

Great to get a run in with dry roads and for some of the riders to have a break from their medical procedures.

Thanks to the fully injected Swampy for running tail end Charlie for the main part of the ride and Peter for taking over.

Excellent weather for a reasonable run. The average temperature was 28 degrees Celsius, 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 301.15 degrees Kelvin.
