Pre AGM at Catalano's

Post by Swampy »

A good mob braved the mid Winter Blues to meet at Catalano's this morning for the clubs Pre AGM Breakfast and coffee!!

Some of us even rode our bikes there on the wet greasy roads but of course there will always be those that choose alternate transport with built in all weather protection

Great to see Bozo return safely after his lap of three states over the last 2 weeks but he seems to have acquired a noticeable bow to his gait now as he strolled up to join us this morning??

Brian/5 and Carol were there after just returning from their journey to the Top End on the Ghan.

Even Beemer Dave rode all the way up from the Deep Southern Regions, Amazing effort for a guy his age, He can still show some of the younger members a thing or two about dedication and perseverance so I takes my hat off to you old timer, Great effort and thanks for the toast!! :P

A retiring young Wes is sporting new rubber on his pristine GS and wanted to scrub them in so I joined him in escorting Ross aka Scruff and Bernadette to his homestead in the hills before Wes and I rode on for a steady ride to York, Northam and Toodyay for lunch before we split to make our own way home!!

Bit cold in the back blocks with the temp hovering around 12-13 before it warmed up a tad to 16 on our return to Perth!!

There's water flowing in the Avon and the paddocks in the countryside were showing a green delight in the bright Winter sunshine.

Thanks Wes for the company today as our thoughts now focus on tomorrow nights AGM on which should prove to be an interesting evening for all concerned !!

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
