National Motorrad Rally 2022 Update

General Update

NATIONAL MOTORRAD RALLY KOORALBYN 10-13 JUNE 2022

Time is not on our side at the moment and the “fog” of the last few months may have made people think there is no urgency to act.

With all the confusion over Border access and lockdowns, it is understandable that people have been reluctant to plan too far into the future and think that they have time on their side.

Unfortunately, the opposite is true. We were fortunate to secure approximately 100 rooms at Kooralbyn which allows us to host the National Motorrad Rally in the heart of some of the easiest access and equal best motorbike riding country in Australia.

Now that the Borders have opened, Kooralbyn is inundated with booking enquiries and they will only let us hold these rooms until late February/Mid-March, then we start to lose control and many riders will miss out on being able to attend.

I have included a link https://www.bmwclubsaustralia.org.au/event-4427426 (2022 National Motorrad Rally QLD.pdf) to the information for your club’s easy refence, but basically the Rally

Is being held in the middle of the much sought-after Scenic Rim, with easy access to daily organised rides or suggested routes provided
Very comfortable accommodation for 3 nights at the special rate of $378 (which works out at $126/night/room, which can sleep 2)
Welcome Dinner Friday night
National Motorrad Rally Gala buffet dinner Saturday night
Plenty of other activities on site and nearby if you want to extend the time in the area
We wanted to reach out to you and explain the urgency in protecting accommodation. We know many will be disappointed when they book late (or just in time based on the old world) and can’t get a room, but that is what the travel world looks like now.

Based on accommodation stories we are seeing elsewhere, even if a late booking member can get accommodation through Kooralbyn later it is likely to be considerably more expensive. It is obvious people want to travel and competition will drive up prices and/or limit availability.

The registration process is set out in the link above, but it is important people book directly with Kooralbyn to secure the special rate AND register for the Rally.
