The standard screen on the new range of 1250 GSA bikes tends to wobble and vibrate as a result of the flimsy support which doesn’t do the job of supporting it very well. Cymarc bike parts have designed a means of strengthening the screen support which certainly improves this problem.
I have made a short video to show how to fit the kit which I purchased from Nippy Normans.com in the UK. The kit arrived in about 2 weeks and cost just a bit over $200 posted.
Good to see you beginning to fix the stuff BMW should have got right up front. Some call it 'completing the bike build'. The after-market is thriving
I had a long wish list. Fix:
the wet multi-plate clutch
launch control
quick-shifter down-shift at part load and/or binding clutch pack on down-shifting
the lack of a cover over the electronics at the rear when the passenger seat is removed
wonky wind screen
brake and clutch lever adjustment catering to dinner plate hands
painful helmet / bike / phone bluetooth connection functionality
no fill-in side panels around the rear shock and wheel
noisy left cylinder
Hopefully when, or if, the 2022 bikes finally arrive, these engineering and design issues will be addressed.
Or maybe the Aftermarket people are reading my posts and will hopefully release suitably engineered solutions at appropriately BMW-price points.
