Hi folks,
After meeting up with a few folks at Bill’s place on Saturday I managed to keep the enthusiasm for tinkering going on Sunday too, and spent some time scrubbing away at the R65 with WD-40 and scotchbrite pads.
Slowly but surely the old girl is starting to look more presentable, especially as the recovered seat is now ready to go bank on.
However, the next challenge is the wheels.
The old snowflakes are being straightened and should be back later this week, but they will need bead blasting and then painting or powder coating.
Has anybody got any recommendations for places to go for cleaning and paint, preferably north of the river, and also what type of finish would folks recommend?
I had originally thought of powder coat, but the question’s been raised as to whether it’s the best coating for wheels.
